Mikey Taylor - From Pro Skater to Investor to Mayor

About this episode

I’m stoked to share this episode of For Your Own Good with Mikey Taylor. This dude’s journey is unreal, from pro skateboarder to mayor of Thousand Oaks, California, and a real estate mogul with Saint Archer Brewery and Commune Capital under his belt. We get real about his shift from pro skateboarding to running a city, how he tackled being called a racist by critics, and turning self-doubt into a powerhouse mindset. Mikey drops gems on real estate investing, staying true to yourself, and why skateboarding gave him the grit to chase big dreams. Plus, we unpack how he handled the haters and kept pushing forward. Don’t miss my recap at the end where I go over my takeaways and insights.
